The Oregon Recreation & Park Association is excited to announce that applications are now being considered for the inaugural ORPA Leadership Academy!  The program will be kicked off at this fall's annual conference in Sunriver, Oregon. The four-hour workshop is focused on helping park and recreation professionals in the early to middle stages of their careers further their personal and professional growth.  ORPA members in good standing with at least 5 years work experience are eligible to apply.

Participants will learn about various types of leadership styles and sources of power for themselves and those they work with.  They will also be challenged to think about how to reach their next professional level and how to stretch themselves to hone their leadership skills and develop their career and life plans.  The final hour of the workshop will feature a luncheon and panel discussion with senior and executive-level park and recreation professionals.  Following the workshop, participants will be matched with mentors to continue their journey of professional development.

The workshop will be held Sunday, November 4 in Sunriver, Oregon.  The cost for the workshop is $50.  If interested in applying, please complete the application form below.

Applications are due Friday, September 28 to Aisha Panas, ORPA Board Director.  Please contact Aisha with any questions either by email or by phone at 503.481.2279.
