ORPA's Counties & Outdoor Recreation Section (CORS), formerly Outdoor Recreation Section provides education, training, information, and networking for parks and recreation professionals who address outdoor recreation, including county park agencies, recreation programmers, park and facility managers, park planners, and more.

The section is led by CORS president Matt Rippee, Eastern Oregon Division Manager, Oregon Parks & Recreation Department. CORS typically offers one educational workshop and one networking meeting per year.

Contact CORS president Matt Rippee to learn more about CORS and to get involved with the section.

COR Section Meeting

The latest section meeting on April 4th was an excellent gathering of outdoor recreation providers from around the state.  The meeting discussed the potential of this section and solicited feedback from everyone regarding how the Counties & Outdoor Recreation Section can be the most effective in helping you in Oregon.

Two major things came from this meeting: A mission statement that helps identify the purpose and goals of the section; and three priorities for the remainder of this year.

Next Section Meeting: May 11th, 2018, Champoeg State Heritage Area.
