Ashland Senior Center surveys 0 N. Mettler Please see attached PDFs for our general reopening survey and our Yoga surveys (with results). We shared the first via our newsletter, website, press releases, social media, and are still collecting results (we will add them here once the survey is closed on July 15).  We sent the Yoga surveys to all our Yoga participants (we have two separate Yoga programs, hence the two surveys). We are using all surveys to gauge community preferences and help guide our reopening + developing alternative programming. Suggestions for Video Equipment to Record Programs in Senior Centers 1 A. Parsons I found the attached video was instrumental in getting our Zoom studio started to allow music with the instructor speaking. The mixer was $118 and headphones $50. The rest of the equipment came from our our audio system.

Old Time Radio Show to Engage Seniors 0 R. Wirfs We did an Old Time Radio Show (not actually on radio) in May and we plan to do another in June. If anyone has staff that doesn’t mind being silly or even some seniors that enjoy performing this can be a fun project. One of my seniors that is a performer wrote our script. We did about a 20 minute show. Three of us performed for the May show. We had about 15 listening in. We used the GoToMeeting platform in May but are switching to Zoom for June. People can connect via video chat or phone; we left all of our cameras off to keep the focus on sound (like a radio show).   We didn’t bother with sound effects for the first show, we might try a few in the second. I did find a website with a bunch of old time radio scripts.   One of the biggest obstacle remains educating seniors that they can connect to these opportunities with a regular phone call. Many think our distance programming only is accessible to those with computers or the internet, as some seniors give it a try and find they could do it, they are sharing with other seniors. In our newsletter this month we really tried to raise that awareness to programs that can be accessed with a phone call. We are paying for the toll free capabilities, but if someone calls on a cell it can still count on their minutes if they are not unlimited. I am expecting to have some more folks participate in the June show.   Rebecca Wirfs Activities Coordinator Lebanon Senior Center and LINX Transit Telephone: 541.258.4919 ext. 4224 | Fax: 541.258.4956 80 Tangent Street, Lebanon, OR 97355

Online classes 6 T. Johnson We are doing an online Yoga class for free using Zoom. We are looking at turning it into an hour long class in May possibly for a fee. If we do that we may use go to webinar instead as the City has a paid subscription to Go to Webinar. Zoom for an hour is a paid subscription. We have 32 folks registered for our 30 minute free yoga class! We may keep an online version for a fee going once we end physical distancing. We are currently paying our instructor for the free class.

Food Service and Delivery 4 D. Sconce Our MOW moved to the Elks Club during construction. They are now delivering all meals. They like the Elks Club so much they are going to stay there when construction finishes. We only had about 7-10 users dining in. MOW is hoping the Elks site is more accessible.
