There have been some really great resources recently, and we may not hear about them until they are over.  This thread is a place to link to past webinars or online trainings that are recorded and can be viewed anytime.

When posting, please follow this format:

  1. Name of the webinar or workshop
  2. Brief description of the webinar
  3. Specify if the recording is free or fee-based.  If there is a fee, please specify the amount.
  4. Link to the recording and any information on how to access if it is restricted

We are all watching a global narrative unfold in real time.  Coalescing around a common story isn't new, but this situation seems to be.  The question is: How are we communicating our experiences with those around us?  Join expert Zared Shawver, a graduate student in cognitive science, as he unfolds the background of narratives and how we interact with them in times of uncertainty.

Park Leaders and COVID-19: Serving the Community in Challenging Times

City Parks Alliance Webinar featuring panelists from New York, San Francisco, and Pittsburgh discussing how to be part of the solution by educating residents on how to safely utilize parks and trails to maintain physical and mental wellness during these difficult times.  Speakers also discussed adapting existing programming to meet current needs.

Programming While Social Distancing

Programming While Social Distancing: Creative Strategies to Engage Communities

With the park and recreation landscape changing every day in response to COVID-19, many cities have closed recreation centers, park facilities, and in some cases, even parks and trails in an effort to slow the spread of the virus.  Park staff are adapting to this new environment in creative ways - taking traditional programming online and creating new programming to engage the community around physical activity, connection to nature, and mental wellness.
