Day 1: Hands-On Learning experience covering the key components of institutional, commercial, and residential irrigation systems.  Introduction to the various products available with methods presented to aid in proper selection and installation for your applications.  Participants will work with Controllers, Valves, and Sprinklers experiencing the different types of construction and installation methods.

Day 2: Continued Hands-On learning experience diving into system diagnostics, in field use of various tools and equipment key to identifying system failures, and in-field practice making correct repairs, both electrical and hydraulic.

Regardless of your irrigation experience, this training is sure to enlighten and refine your skills.

What you will learn

  1. ASME Irrigation Bonder Qualification provided by WeldOn
    1. During this training you will assemble a sample to be hydrostatically test to a sustained 600 psi.  Should your submitted sample pass this test conducted by WeldOn labs, you will receive your official ASME Qualification Card.
  2. 2 Wire - Decoder Systems; the latest in irrigation controller systems.  How to properly plan, install, ground, and maintain these simple yet sophisticated irrigation control components.
  3. Get the most out of your sprinklers.  From the simple, often overlooked maintenance to checking operating pressure and determining proper nozzle selections.  Demonstrated Techniques will require attendees' participation.
  4. Remote Control Valves and Wire Splicing, along with locating and tracing.  Truly hands on with electronic diagnostic tools, wiring technics, and valve repairs.  Valves will be supplied for the attendees to hone their troubleshooting skills.
  5. Controllers.  More than just the basics.  Consideration for locations, enclosure types, communications, map development, diagnostics, and programming will be covered.  Practice controllers  will be available for each attendee.

The material presented is a great refresher as well as an introduction into the complex irrigation world.
