Every year hundreds of professionals in the field of Parks and Recreation meet from across the state of Oregon to learn from each other, grow professionally, network, and have a good time.  For many individuals, this is the only professional event they attend each year.  For others, this event is the culmination of a year of hard work and an opportunity to be recognized for their achievements.  There are many reasons why park and recreation employees come to ORPA every fall, and it simply wouldn't be the same without you.

Why Should You Exhibit?

You and your organization are a part of the park and recreation industry.  While your perspective may vary, you work side by side with local agencies and districts every day.  Your work impacts recreation for millions of Oregonians, and you have valuable insight that helps local employees meet their goals. 

Last year, ORPA had over 400 attendees, more than anticipated.  We are expecting many more this year as our membership has doubled and continues to grow.  This is a great opportunity to interface with decision makers, planners, coordinators and more.  In addition, parks and recreation is nothing if not fun - and we want you to come celebrate with us!


What is New this Year?

Located in beautiful Sunriver, OR, the resort is our playground this year.  The Exhibit Hall and Exhibitor Showcase will be located in the Sage Springs Spa and Pavilion Tennis Center.  We are working hard to make this space a wonderful opportunity for networking, gathering, and socializing.  Here are some of the things you can expect this year in the Exhibit Hall:

  • The Tennis Center means we will have tall ceilings - a perfect opportunity to reveal your show-stopping booth design
  • There are no "bad" locations - every corner has its strengths and we designed the floor plan to disperse attendees around the entire room
  • Plenty of tables and seating - all the better for socializing, feel free to step out of your booth and engage with attendees at reception tables
  • More Silent Auction - we have exciting plans for a more enticing silent auction this year
  • Poster Sessions - there are amazing projects being planned and executed all year in parks and recreation and we want to showcase that
  • Beer and Wine Wall - unlike a bar, this booth sells full bottles of beer and wine; people will place and pick up orders

Other New Conference Additions

  • Leadership Academy (Pre-conference Sessions) - a part of the ORPA Strategic Plan, this will be the first year trying a leadership academy
  • Better Awards Luncheon - it only gets better and better
  • Decorated Rooms - some tracks are getting on board with putting their stamp on conference rooms
  • Amazing Food - okay, so the food was good at the Riverhouse, too, but at Sunriver it will be divine!
  • Team Building Exercises - when at a resort we believe it is a perfect opportunity to incorporate team building (especially when lodging together in a house!)
  • Party On-site - no need to leave the resort to have a good time; we'll have a big bash Monday evening in the Great Hall

Conference Theme

The 2018 conference theme is "Building Bridges & Connecting Communities".  The conference theme will focus on creating both physical and metaphorical bridges that connect parks and recreation staff, public officials, and under served populations to each other and to important resources in meaningful ways.

Booth Add-Ons

Additional Staff: $175

Additional Staff is for more than the 2 people included in your booth fee.  

Electrical Hookup: $45

This is what we are charged by the facility to provide electrical to your booth.  We are simply passing on the cost and not taking a cut.


Registration Sponsorship

Beer & Wine Wall Bottle: $25

Participate in the Beer & Wine Wall we are offering this year by sponsoring a bottle for ORPA to contribute in your honor.  The bottle is placed in a decorative bag for attendees to select.  Your logo will be included on the bag or bottle with recognition of your sponsorship.

Drink Tickets: $225

Get a pack of 20 drink tickets to pass out to attendees so they may redeem for a beer or wine at the bars in the exhibit hall.  Drink tickets can be distributed on Monday night at the Exhibitor Showcase.  If you purchase before September 1st, your logo will be displayed on your pack of drink tickets.
